Have you ever wondered if elves could be nearby?

When I was a child my mother told me where the elves lived and my sister would show me things that could prove their existence. There is a very large rock in our community where it is said elves or Huldafolk (hidden people) enter from their world into ours. Apparently elves love herons, because the herons are always hanging out around the rock.

In Iceland, the land of elves, elves are thought to be the same size as humans. Some Icelanders claim to have had encounters with them, and some people are suspected to be part elf. The Light Elves are said to be very beautiful and often give assistance to humans.
